Hinman Vineyards
Willamette Valley, Oregon

Founded by Doyle Hinman, who planted five acres of wine grapes near Eugene in 1972, Hinman Vineyards harkens back to a time when the state of Oregon had just five wineries and 35 planted acres. In 2013, the brand was in dire need of a facelift.

The objective of the owner,Elizabeth Chambers, was to express the essence of Oregon: natural beauty, youthful energy and, above all, trees. At the same time, we hoped to develop a brand image that would appeal to both male and female consumers of all ages, especially millennials. The new packaging really hit the mark, with a chic pastel color palette, a clean and fresh design, and several young shoots graced by a playful blue butterfly.

The previous Hinman Vineyards label below shows just how dramatic this branding upgrade was at the time.
